The publicity began full force in September of 2010 when a Florida pastor announced his upcoming, “Burn a Quran Day.” As controversy swelled, the event was on, then it was off, then it was on again. Pastor Terry Jones of the Dove World Outreach Center, a tiny church of 50 members, proclaimed that on September 11, 2010, on the 9th anniversary of the 9-11 sneak attacks on America by Muslims, the “Burn a Quran Day” would take place in the parking lot of his church.

In Ultra Liberal California, Christians are generally hated and undermined at every opportunity. A church in Oakley, California has constantly been in the crosshairs of this atheistic, socialist state. especially when it began to have a positive effect on the area of East County, in the Bay Area. A public school was constructed and just before it opened, the housing crash began, workers were losing their jobs, forced to move due to foreclosures on their homes, and there were no students to enroll in the school. It sat empty. Mountain View Christian Center made arrangements to lease it from the cash strapped town of Oakley, using the classrooms for Trinity Christian School and the auditorium for the worship services. The superintendent of the Oakley School Distirict seemed to be uneasy with the arrangement from the start, and would contempuously refer to the teachers and staff as; “Those Christians.”

Dr. Bart Ehrman is the prime example of a ‘liberal Christian,’ whose dedicated attempts to destroy the foundations of Christianity is becoming well known. He is a member of the outrageous, “Jesus Seminar,” where supposed ‘Biblical Scholars” take apart The New Testament and proclaim that Jesus did not say what he said.” (!) Ehrman’s whole purpose is to undermine Christianity. He has written some strange Christianity-attack-books with “historic facts to set people straight,” His corrupt ideas are so far out into left field that the crows can’t even get out there to roost. Bad Bart for sure.

Harold Camping of Family Radio, a worldwide network, is a man of unique Christian theology. He advises all his followers to get out of their churches since all of them are apostate. He stated this week that Jesus was NOT God, and on his ‘Open Forum’ advised a problem alcoholic who wanted to stop drinking to set up a fancy dinner, with her best china and silverware, then put a bottle of fine wine in the center. “Eat the complete meal without touching the wine,” he saith, ” and THEN you will have conquered alcoholism.” (!) He also implies that he is the only man in the world whom God has given the exact time of His return. May 21, 2011, two months from now, at 6 P.M.

Here is an update this writer didn’t want to report even though the readers should have learned this the moment the news was relayed through his family. Especially since so many of you took an active part in the search for the loveable gentle giant Olde English Bulldogge, Full Mastif Mix named, Typhoon, who had disappeared from his backyard. Your response was a tremendous source of encouragement to his ‘parents’ Ryan and Natasha Webster who live near Sacramento, and gave them hope that he might still be found. The news was received on Saturday March 12th.
